Your co-administrators have families and full-time jobs away from Jeff Arnold’s West. Paying all due attention to real-life responsibilities has contributed to an eventful 2026 for Bud and RR.
Despite these considerations, however, we are actively working on the final post in the Sam Peckinpah Centenary. It will publish soon.
In the meantime, e-pards, we thank you for your forbearance.

Looking forward to it ! ! ! ! ! !
“Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid” (1973, my #7 Western, and my #24 movie of all time, all genres) is THE BOMB ! ! ! ! !
I can watch some of those scenes–especially the two “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door” scenes–over and over again ! ! ! ! A chopped up movie, yes, but LOADED with poetry and beauty ! ! ! !
Bud and RR, I’ll email you soon, so we can catch up on things. I’ve got a lot going on in my life, too–including various movie/TV reviews, and the early stages of a book about 1970s pro basketball. (GO WASHINGTON BULLETS, 1977-78 NBA CHAMPIONS ! ! ! ! And GO WILT CHAMBERLAIN and the 1971-72 NBA Champion L.A. Lakers ! ! ! And this ain’t no sports blog, so I’m shutting up.)
And Thomas Leary, I don’t feel drenched by your torrent of comments on “Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid” the other night, LOL. I love it, but I can see why a lot of people, including most critics, don’t like it.
I can keep talking, but I gotta go. Thanks BUD AND RR, for continuing to run this site ! ! ! ! I pray from time to time for you and your families.
Thank you overdrive, and thanks all JAW readers for your patience with our recent slowing up of activity while preoccupied with ‘IRL’ matters. PG&BTK coming soon. Best wishes all.
Hope all is well. Take your time.
Looking forward to the next post.
