A large update was recently completed to Jeff Arnold’s West.
Although large, it is also subtle, and it may or may not be obvious to readers.
You see, e-pards, each post in the blog has a field called ‘Labels’. And the site displays a list of Labels attached to posts, in case a reader wishes to view posts with a certain label.
When RR and Bud began co-administering the site, all posts were labeled as ‘Uncategorized’:
The task of labeling his posts was one that Jeff never completed.
Eventually, Bud and RR began using the Label on posts to identify authorship: ‘Bud and RR’; ‘James (Jeff’s nephew)’; ‘overdrive1975’.
We have now backfilled all of the posts on Jeff Arnold’s West.
Very meta
A number of posts (including this one) are labeled as ‘News and Updates’. This label seems self-explanatory.
Over 1,800 posts now have ‘Jeff Arnold’ as author.
It seems fitting.
